Our History

Missoula Manor Homes was sponsored by Missoula Aerie and Auxiliary #32 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in September 1969.  The Eagle members formed the Missoula Manor Homes Corporation and worked for three years to develop their plan.  They volunteered countless hours to secure the land, hire and work with an architect and supervise the building process. 

 

Missoula Manor opened its doors to the first residents on June 14, 1972 and started serving meals on July 1, 1972. 

 

In the years that followed we have added a chapel, a laundry room, a beauty parlor, a resident market, a guest room, an exercise area a visiting masseuse and dental hygienist. We have an extensive library which includes large print books, a shuffleboard table, a pool table and both a player piano and a regular piano. We work hard to offer varied activities and entertainment for our residents.Missoula Manor now houses approximately 126 residents, and the majority are subsidized through the national HUD program.  We offer both lunch and dinner to our residents and now serve over 45,000 delicious meals every year.
